Porterville Unified School District
Commercial Campaign
PROJECT INFO
The Porterville Unified School District has been a long term client of ours, and when they reached out to us to discuss a cleanup campaign we were excited to help. They had started the creative process and knew that they wanted a video, but were looking to create a video that would work for the entire age group from preschool through 12th grade. As we discussed the project we saw that we would need to split the campaign into two videos, one targeting elementary students, and one targeting the junior high and high school students. Having worked with them for so long, they trusted us to create a pitch and a budget.
We handled the entire project from concept to completion. For this Elementary targeted video, we settled on the concept of using a combination of live action and animation, along with sound designed to bring a piece of trash to life as a character. The goal of the film was to create a memorable character out of a piece of trash , that would impress itself on the minds of children, so that when they saw a piece of trash lying on the ground, they would think of that animated paper ball, and how much it wanted to be in the trash, and the thought would inspire them to pick up the trash and put it in the cans.
